VAN NUYS, Calif. – For the sixteenth year in a row, Valley Presbyterian Hospital (VPH) has been awarded the distinction of Best Hospital in the San Fernando Valley by Los Angeles Daily News readers.
“We are honored that the Daily News readers voted us the ‘Best Hospital’ in the Valley sixteen years in a row. Especially in a year where our community faced so many challenges, this award is a recognition that our commitment to their well-being is appreciated.” -- Gustavo Valdespino, President and CEO of Valley Presbyterian Hospital.
Valley Presbyterian Hospital first opened its doors over 60 years ago as a small, neighborhood provider. While remaining as independent as in 1958, today VPH has grown into a 350-bed full-service, non-profit community hospital, dedicated to the health and well-being of the diverse and challenged communities of the San Fernando Valley.
The hospital’s enduring goal is to be a vital asset to the community because for VPH, this Valley is not just an area of operation, but their home. And its people are not just patients, they are friends, partners and community. VPH builds the facilities and services specifically focused on the needs of those in their patient community. VPH maintains services that help patients manage and improve their health by providing access to a wide array of education and support. Patients are treated with respect through listening intently so care is more effective. And VPH consistently invests in its people, the most vital asset of all, building greater teamwork and communication that raises the quality of care for all patients.
